“Innovation” is an idea that has been transformed into reality. Some words have the potential to stick
with you, and ever since I encountered this quote, it has inspired me to shape myself into a perpetual
learner in quest of an invention. Every new study, new innovation provides us with the assurance and
confidence to build a new tomorrow. I have completed my Master’s Degree in Computer Science with
Specialization in AI and am looking with enthusiasm to join an esteemed organization to develop creative
solutions and my desire to have a good influence as a software engineer.
To gain industry experience, I presented a research paper named “EDRA – An Emotional Health
Detection and Recognition Assistant” at the 2021 IEEE Asian Conference on Innovation in Technology.
Our publication was one of 310 chosen from 1400 submissions for being innovative and was published
on 4th October 2021. For the directed study project of my master’s degree, I developed a chatbot to
assist individuals in achieving mental peace by conversing with them, detecting their emotions, and
offering remedies based on the overall emotion identified by our AI for which i developed code using
OOPs concepts in Python language and used MySQL for database services, where I got plenty of
experience in debugging and resolving code issues and testing the working environment.
I worked for Tata Consultancy Services for a year back in India, where I was responsible for developing
and maintaining client websites for which our primary language was Java and typescript in terms of
creating APIs and services. In contrast, for the web development part, we used angular and reactJS. For
my first project, I got web design tasks using Angular, which helped me learn new functions and methods
in Angular and use API services in JAVA to call the function.
During my tenure at TCS, I got the opportunity to handle a small project by leading a team of two. We
worked for 3 months on the project. As team lead, I was responsible for the SDLC, the Software
development life cycle. During the first month, we developed and built the project using Java and
Typescript as it was a backend issue. The second month was focused on testing using JIRA stories for
each defect, and in the last month, we deployed our project into production. After successful
completion, I was responsible for support for the next few months.
I got the opportunity to serve as Teaching Assistant for the Computer Science Department, where I was
TA for the Python and Multimedia course. My duties majorly included: Conducting lab sessions to help
students work on their programming skills, Grafting their assignments and Conducting office hours twice
a week to solve the doubts and queries of the students.
My passion for innovation drives me to contribute as a software engineer. With a Master's in Computer
Science and a track record of research and industry experience, I am poised to make a meaningful impact
and contribute my expertise in AI and software development to an esteemed organization.
I appreciate your taking a look at my application and look forward to speaking with you further.
